Julie Pietri had plans full of the head! On December 15, she announced some encouraging news during the inauguration of her tour. In addition to a new album, the artist indeed planned to make several dates in 2023 and 2024.

Despite this terrible disease, Julie Pietri says she is ready to fight. Determined not to be defeated, she counts on her fans to support her in these difficult times.

“I need your support (…) I know that if you are present, it makes me feel good. I will go to the end of my fight, ”she said.

A true icon of the 80s, Julie Pietri met with great success with her hit « Eve, get up ». The piece is remained number 1 in the Top 50 for several monthspropelling the singer to stardom.

After a meteoric rise, the singer became more discreet in the 90s. Then she made a big comeback, and started releasing hits again.

Two tough years

A tragedy also marked this difficult period in the life of Julie Pietri. The disappearance of his beloved mother. For the artist, this drama contributed to make this episode of his life even darker.

The only thing that could offer him some comfort was the song. Writing her album allowed the singer release stress and sadness. It helped her move forward.

“It’s an album in which I give myself the most (…) it totally corresponds to who I am today. It is both emotional, truthful and very festive,” she confides about her project.

After a resounding success in the 80s, Julie Pietri became more discreet the following decade. In question ? A toxic relationship with a « narcissistic pervert ». The latter made him see all the colors.

He couldn’t bear for Julie Pietri to be pregnant by another man. This dark episode of his life, Julie Pietri kept it to herself for a long time. It was during an interview with the Journal de France that she finally spoke about it.

« I almost died there with a suicide attempt and 48 hours in a coma, » she said.

Long blinded by love, Julie Pietri now has clear ideas. She now knows that if a man really loves a woman, he would never dare to humiliate her.

“A man who humiliates you is not a man who loves you, he is incapable of it. It feeds on victimizing you to fill its inner emptiness,” she says.

The singer affirms, if she managed to overcome this ordeal, it is mainly thanks to his daughter, Manon. She would be the one who allowed him to free himself from this man.

Note that several years after this first toxic relationship, Julie Pietri again came across a bad man. And once again, it was her daughter who helped her move forward.
