WhatsApp sta sviluppando un sistema per verificare l’account tramite e-mail, secondo i beta tester per Android. Di solito solo il numero di cellulare viene utilizzato per la verifica nel messenger.

• Questa novità è stata trovata nella versione 2.23.16.15 della Beta di WhatsApp per Android.
• Ancora in fase di sviluppo, la funzione mira ad aggiungere un ulteriore livello di protezione all’account utente.

Ancora in fase di sviluppo, questa funzione di sicurezza richiederà il tuo indirizzo email per proteggere e verificare il tuo account. Fornirà nuovi strumenti agli utenti per proteggere il proprio account e aiuterà anche con la verifica dell’account in determinate situazioni non specificate.

Vale la pena ricordare che questa funzione sarà facoltativa e diversa da quella che richiede l’e-mail durante la configurazione della verifica in due passaggi. Sono ancora poche le informazioni disponibili sulle situazioni specifiche in cui l’indirizzo email sarà utile per migliorare la sicurezza degli account WhatsApp.

Questo aggiornamento è una continuazione delle funzionalità di sicurezza annunciate da WhatsApp ad aprile. Tali risorse includono:

• Prevenire tentativi non autorizzati di spostare un account su un altro dispositivo;
• Protezione da malware che sfruttano il telefono dell’utente per inviare messaggi indesiderati tramite WhatsApp;
• Codici di sicurezza automatici per facilitare il processo di verifica del codice di sicurezza.

Il messenger ha già incluso nel 2023 altre funzionalità di sicurezza, come un controllo della privacy, una funzione per proteggere le conversazioni tramite password e uno strumento per controllare la registrazione sui nuovi dispositivi.

La funzione di sicurezza che utilizza l’indirizzo e-mail è in fase di sviluppo e sarà resa disponibile in un futuro aggiornamento dell’applicazione.
